Disneyland Resort Express closes operations
Disney Update: Disneyland will stop operations of their Disneyland Resort Express Bus effective January 7, 2020. The Disneyland Resort Express transported Disneyland guests from LAX to their resorts. However, it never really worked as good as other shuttle operations such as Disney World’s Disney Magical Express. It was a transportation you had to pay for, Disney Magical Express is free. It didn’t have the ease and flow of the airport to easily locate the terminal. In addition, it worked independently of Disney as its own bus company that you often had to contact directly if you had issues because Disney could not help you. So, it doesn’t come as a huge surprise that Disneyland has decided to do away with an operation that didn’t work that well in the first place.
Where does that leave guest now? You will have to contact a 3rd party transportation company. One that Disney has mentioned is Karmel Shuttles. Guest who are already booked on Disneyland Resort Express will be rerouted to Karmel Shuttle at Disney’s expense. Future bookings however, will be at the guest’s expense. You can also Uber, use Lyft, or other 3rd party transportation companies such as Best Limo. This is another example how a travel agent can help ease your vacation planning. Most would be happy to book this transportation for you. This change does not affect Disney World’s Disney Magical Express which transports guests from Orlando International to the Disney parks.
